Job Summary: Reporting to the Managing Director, the Head ICT is charged with ICT Unit, the key responsibility is to facilitate the alignment of TWB’s technology with its operational vision based on the information systems strategy, by putting in place IT systems, which provide business advantage and increase operating efficiency in serving the banks clientele. Knowledge on system audit is an added advantage.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
Head of Information Communication Technology and Business Continuity Management Department.
• Computer Systems design and development.
• Maintenance and updating of existing Management Information Systems.
• Creating and maintenance of data base.
• Coordinates data bases, systems design and development.
• Devise Security schemes for protection of data and information.
• Appraise staff in the Department.
• Responsible for BCP and RDS.
• Review the information systems strategy and advise changes in the light of changes in TWB operations and external environment;
Planning and co-ordination of all information systems development projects to support the achievement of TWB business strategy;
Oversee timely implementation of information systems projects focused on efficient information exchange within TWB and delivery of customer services;
Carry out routine reviews of the core banking system to ensure optimum interactions between the system and users;
Evaluate developments in the banking industry to ensure that the TWB core banking system provides up to date business solutions to users;
Plan and design disaster recovery plans for the TWB information systems to ensure service continuity in case of disaster;
Overall review of the effectiveness of the system against the business targets;
Overall responsible for designing the information security policy covering information system applications and infrastructure;
Do any other related duties as required by Managing Director
Required Knowledge and skills:
Excellent knowledge of information systems policies and practice in a banking environment; excellent project management skills;
Good communication and interpersonal skills. Experience in BCP planning and implementation and DR sites management.
Good knowledge of Networks (Both LAN and WAN under CISCO) Security(Cyberoam and CISCO) and Strong knowledge in Database especially SQL Server 2005 is an added advantage.
Qualifications:
Holder of degree in computer science or equivalent, experience of not less than 7 years in a senior information systems position in a reputable financial services organization or related institution.
