At a recent sexual and reproductive health (SRH) collaboration event hosted by Marie Stopes Tanzania, Canadian Minister for International Development, Beverley J. Oda endorsed its initiatives to improve SRH in rural communities.

At the meeting held in Dar es Salaam, District Executive Directors and District Medical Officers also expressed their wish to work with Marie Stopes Tanzania to provide vital services in an effort to boost maternal and child health and reduce Tanzania’s HIV prevalence rate of seven percent.

As well as district officials, Ministry of Health and development partners were also represented at the meeting, which was convened under a Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA) supported project for reproductive maternal/child health and HIV services.
