PCI (Project Concern International) Latest Recruitment For Community Mobilizer (10 vacancies)
Project Concern International (PCI) began operations in Tanzania in 2008. In cooperation with its local implementing partner, ADRA Tanzania, and its collaborating partner, WaterAid Tanzania, PCI is implementing a comprehensive and sustainable water and sanitation and hygiene education program in the Manyara Region in the northeast region of the country designed to make a lasting impact in the health and well-being of Tanzanian families and communities.

WOMEN’S EMPOWERMENT AND SOCIAL MOBILIZATION

In the Manyara Region of Tanzania, women and children can spend an average of 4-6 hours per day crossing great distances and waiting in long lines to obtain water. These long hours keep children particularly young girls, from attending school and women have no time to pursue other activities
critical to socio-economic development. Crossing long distances to access water presents additional risks and dangers especially to women and children, including sexual assault and rape.
