Position Description:
Tanzania Cigarette Company (TCC) is one of the Leading manufacturing companies in Tanzania.
TCC is a member of the JTI Group of Companies headquartered in Geneva. Switzerland. JTI is the majority shareholder in TCC which has 16 branch offices in Tanzania with its head office and manufacturing facility located in Dar es Salaam.
TCC seek to recruit Management Trainess in Marketing and Finance that will be part of a long term Regional Development Program.
Recruited candidates will be on a two years extensive rotation program within JTI moving on three different assignments in three different countries to equip you with JTI experience and vast knowledge.
Main areas of responsibility:
• Build business acumen on JTI business operates.
• Build acumen around JTI’s financial processes and procedures. Be accountable for a financial sub process
• Analyze potential business/investment proposals for accuracy, validity, completenessi and return on investment taking into account risks and conditions.
• Develop management competencies to become a future team leader. Ensure efficiency and effectiveness in the execution of programs across various distribution channels
• Ensure effective general management of a cost and/or profit center rationalizing deviations to plans, and ensuring achievement of agreed targets.
• Take initiative to investigate trends and analyze the data to provide management actionable market intelligence.
• Work in close collaboration with respective managers in marketing and sales as well as Regional/Branch managers in order to ensure excellence in execution, heighten problems solving, and optimal capture of lessons learnt
• Identifies and recommends branding promotional opportunities and optimal placement of branded materials.
Minimum Requirements:
• Minimum university degree in business studies or finance
• Top 10%of university graduates are encouraged to apply. Maximum two years experience in FMCG or similar field
• Fluency in English strong interpersonal skills and good working knowledge of French or portugues is an advantage.
• Excellent written and oral communications skills International mobility is a must
• Independent thinker
• SAP knowledge is an advantage.
• Computer literate
