Tanzania Women’s Bank Ltd (TWB) is a bank established under the Company Act No. 212 of 2002 for the purpose of providing access to a full range of financial services for its customers, targeting mainly customers with low income comprising of small businesses, small and medium enterprises (SMEs) with special focus and emphasis on women entrepreneurs. We seek to recruit dynamic, honest, result oriented and committed persons to fill the following vacant positions.

Business Development Officer (1Post)
Job Summary: Reporting to the Head Operations and banking services, the job holder is responsible for identifying changes in the market and formulating current products create new products and packages, marketing activities and all matters that will increase TWB income.
Preparing annual marketing plans and relative budget.
• Within the context of the approved marketing, budget preparing advertising plans in the TV, News papers and billboards.
• Undertaking market research to determine viability in respect of new products / services in exceeding customer’s expectations.
• From the researches undertaken, devising new products in terms of capability to induce business to the Institution.
• Reviewing the effectiveness of the existing precuts in terms of capability to induce business to the Institution.
• Drawing up customer’s visitation programs for the Managing Director Officer.
• Marketing Research on civil societies and organization with a view to luring the to do business with the Institution.
• Following up closely on funding programs with development partners with a view to packaging collaborative products especially in export promotion and financing.
• Preparing marketing implementation reports to the Management and the Board of Directors.
• Liaising with the Departmental Heads of appointed and approved external agencies by the Institution in designing new products.
• Maintaining marketing data base, including catalogue, and appropriate / respective members / customer file.
• Analyzing marketing strategies, strengths, weakness, opportunities and threats and recommend appropriate strategies to be implemented by the Institution.
• Carrying out market survey in banking services and products at acceptable level and prepare short and long term marketing strategies.
• Identifying areas of research, prepare research proposal, execute research work, analyze and interprets data collected and prepare research report.
• Maintain statistic data bank of deposits.
Co-ordinate with product officers to undertake a review of TWB product income performance by branches on a monthly basis;
Liaise with TWB branches to identify reasons of deviations between branch performance and budget;

Recommend to management measures to improve branch performance to meet budgetary income targets;

Monitor client satisfaction with the TWB products to ensure income forecasts are met;

Innovate new products or modifications to existing products to ensure growth in income and consumer satisfaction;

Analyse profitability of new products and advise management on investment decisions;

Design operational procedures for sales of new products and support branches in implementation.

Research
* Under taking research in potential areas for location of banking business. * Keeping all the statistics in relation to foreign trade and the country economic Management. * Preparing for the business briefs for the Management / Board. * Drawing to the attention of the Management any negative / positive trend in the domestic as well as international markets, which are likely to affect the Institution’s business * Undertaking market intelligence of other banks activities with a view to drawing the attention of Management of these developments which are likely to affect the Institution’s business. * Maintain the Institution’s library. * Analyzing and advising Management on all policy issues.

Public Relations

1. Responsible in formulating major objectives in respect to the Institution’s public relations programs involving the general public, shareholders, employees, public institutions, customers, opinion markets and government circles. 2. Arrange contributions and donations of money or services to the general public. Initiates and Implements programs to improve customer relations. 3. Directs internal communications and employee relations activating. Keeps employees informed through internal communication media about the Institution’s operations new products and services. 4. Organizes participation in professional and other associations which are of benefit to the Institution. Updating the Institution website. 5. Prepare press leases speeches and mange interviews and relationship with customers and the general public. 6. Perform any other duty assigned by the supervisor from time to time

Knowledge and skills:

A good knowledge of Finance and Accounting; good knowledge of Bank Operations and Financial Markets in Tanzania; Computer literate in standard computer applications, with excellent computer spreadsheet skills.

Qualifications:

Degree or Advanced Diploma in Finance, Accounting or Banking with good knowledge of banking operations with least 3 years experience in banking with focus on strategic business planning.
