Tanzania - Country Representative, Nairobi
Location: Kenya - Nairobi
Contract: 3 years
Could you develop and implement an effective strategy for Tanzania for Tearfund as a Country Representative? The role involves strategic planning; community management of relationships in a partner portfolio; resource management and development; leadership and staff development; along with ensuring all aspects of in-country security and health and safety.
You will have substantial proven experience in community development, predominantly based in a developing country; strategic planning and thinking; leadership; project management and evaluation; and budget
management. Proven ability in the East & Central Africa and/or Southern Africa region is essential, with Tanzania experience desirable. You will be fluent and competent in written and spoken English. In addition, written and spoken Swahili is essential. You will also possess good interpersonal and negotiation skills.
The nature of the work will require the successful candidate to apply for a Police / Criminal Records check.
This is a regional position, therefore no expatriate benefits will be provided; e.g. accommodation or repatriation.
GROSS SALARY: £31,235 + 10% Pension Contribution
