WORK STATION: TAA – Headquarters
Tanzania Airports Authority (TAA) is a Government Executive Agency established to operate, manage, maintain and develop Government owned airports with a commercially oriented Management style. As Part of implementing its Organizational Structure.
The candidate will report to the Principal Network Administrator and will be responsible for the following responsibilities.Key Responsibilities
Analysis, Design, installation, configuration, management and Administration of LAN and WAN infrastnlcture and all Network Middleware Software
Client /Server Hardware management
Test network equipment and devices.
Implement network security plan.
Perform network troubleshooting and repair.
Document and communicate network related problems, solutions and the implementation process.
Monitor and maintain active network equipment for optimal network performance. Develop and implement preventive maintenance plan for the network.
Review and update network configuration plan.
Analyze network problems and work out appropriate solutions.
Evaluates and recommends changes to current and future network requirements to meet needs.
Advice on policy and strategy for TAA’s Network Infrastructure.
Plan, Develop and implement the overall strategic goals of the network system Create and present reports regarding LAN and WAN performance
Coordinate, communicate and document changes in network devices configuration. To perform any other duty as may assigned from time to time by the Manager IT.
Qualifications
5. Bachelor Degree or Advanced Diploma in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or similar from a recognized University, preferably but not necessary in ICT Networking related field.
6. An International Certification in Networking, such as CCNA & MCP In Networks etc
7. International Certification in Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) or Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP) certification will be an added advantage.
8. At least one year experience in managing Cisco based network infrastructure.
Salary Scale: Competitive package as per TAA Scales.
Age Limit: Not more than 35 years of age.
